A fabricated part isn't finished until the surface is right. We handle grinding, dressing, polishing and preparation in-house, and coordinate powder coating, galvanising and sandblasting through trusted trade partners we have worked with for years. You deal with one supplier — we manage the whole finishing chain so your parts arrive ready to install.
Good finishing starts with preparation. A weld that's not ground smooth will show through powder coating. A surface that's not cleaned properly will have coating adhesion problems. We take the time to prepare each part correctly before it goes out for coating, and we check it when it comes back. That's how we avoid the common finishing problems — orange peel, runs, adhesion failure, patchy texture.
Durable, uniform powder coat finish in a wide range of colours and textures. Arranged through partners.
Weld dressing, grinding, deburring and surface preparation done in-house.
Stainless polishing, satin finishing, bead blasting for architectural surfaces.
Blast preparation and primer coat for steelwork going into wet or corrosive environments.
Once fabrication is complete, we prepare the parts (grind, dress, clean), send them to our coating partner, and check them on return. We track the job through the whole process so you don't have to chase status updates. The finished parts arrive at your site ready to install — no extra trips, no coordination headaches.
Preparation matters: the difference between a coating that lasts five years and one that chips in six months is surface preparation. We grind welds, remove burrs, clean the surface before parts go to the coater.
Different applications need different finishing systems. For indoor steelwork, a standard powder coat in a colour of your choice is durable and clean. For outdoor or corrosive environments, a two-pack system or galvanising underneath is worth the extra cost. For stainless, the finish is about appearance — brushed, satin or polished to match the surrounding architecture.
We advise on the right finishing system for your application. If you're not sure what finish you need, tell us where the part is going and what it's exposed to, and we'll recommend the most practical option for the application.
